Institute presentation

The Bahn laboratory at the Cambridge Centre for Neuropsychiatric Research (CCNR) is combining multi-omics and exploratory bioinformatics approach to explore disease mechanisms of complex neuropsychiatric disorders. The group is conducting an extensive research programme to define the molecular basis underpinning the pathophysiology of major neuropsychiatric disorders. The CCNR is an established centre of technological excellence in the field of pre-clinical and clinical "-omics"-based biomarker research and the group now includes ~ 20 researchers with strong scientific and bioinformatics expertise. The centre aims to conduct and coordinate fundamental empirical research into major neuropsychiatric disorders, focusing on central/peripheral biomarkers and novel target discovery leading to patient’s stratification and personalised medicine strategy.
