Institute presentation

The Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre (RUNMC) is a leading Dutch institute for medical research. The Translational Neuropharmacology Research Group (Department of Cognitive Neuroscience) conducts studies in neuropsychiatric traits such as impulsivity/compulsivity, attention, psychosis and cognitive disturbance. It actively collaborates with the Neuropsychiatric Research Group (partner 1a) in conducting joint translational efforts in the fields of ADHD, substance abuse, autism and conduct disorder. The group has full access to all facilities of the Central Animal Unit under its participation within the Donders Centre for Neuroscience.

Dr. Jeffrey Glennon has a track record of forming and leading translational research consortia in neuropsychiatry. He recently led as lead Principal Investigator a €5.6M Dutch-based consortium focussed on preclinical and clinical studies of cannabinoids for the treatment of cognitive decline, smoking and addiction, collaborates with Dr. J. Dalley / Prof. T.W. Robbins (University of Cambridge) on the neurochemistry of impulsivity and also manages a €5.4M FP7-funded clinical consortium (PERS) dedicated towards clinical trials in conduct disorder in children.
